This week we are finishing up library skills with grades 3 and 5. The 3rd-graders will hear the "Dewey Rap," which is always fun. It is posted below. (As always, be very careful showing YouTube content to your children because the comments, sidebars, and advertisements are often not appropriate for children.) Grade 5 is learning to browse the catalog using the iPad app for it--it's called Destiny Quest, and it is free, so you might download it on devices you have at home. The 5th-graders will also be learning how to rate and review books in the library catalog.
The rest of the grades are hearing stories about stories--particularly how to come up with story ideas.
