TK/K and grade 1 are hearing books about spiders and bats, which come up in their curriculum around now. With grade 3 I am behind a bit, as their study of national symbols is winding up, but those classes will be hearing the true story of how the Liberty Bell was hidden in the year 1777.
Please note that I will be out-of-town on November 1, so the library will be closed that day.
Thank you for helping your students remember to bring their library books on their class visit day. Library books can also be exchanged on any other day that the library is open; however, please consult the library schedule for good times to visit, as the library is not available to visitors while it is in use for a class visit. You can browse the catalog anywhere you have internet access. There is even a free "app" called Destiny Quest for browsing on mobile devices. Parents may check out ten books at a time from our school library, and setting up a new patron account is very quick and easy, so please make use of the over 16,000 different books available for checkout. Thanks to MBEF and the Pennekamp PTA for generously supporting our library.
