Books are no longer being checked out this year, and most are being returned right on schedule. There is never an overdue fine at the library, but any student with unresolved library issues on the last day of class will have a hold place on his or her report card pending resolution. Please contact the library if you have any questions about your student's, or your own, library account.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the many parent helpers who spent the day at the library on June 14 putting our shelves in perfect order. This is a gigantic task, but one that is essential to the continuing success of our library. All I can say is Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
The library will be open next week as usual, although I need to close at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday to attend events off campus. Classes visiting next week will be kindergarten and Mrs. Curry's grade 5.

It has been my great pleasure serving as Pennekamp's library media specialist these past two years. Thank you for all your support and for making my work days so happy. I am really looking forward to being back in the fall.
Finally, I'd like to say farewell and congratulations to our awesome 5th-graders! I will be in attendance at 5th-grade graduation--that'll be me, standing in the back, beaming and sniffling. Please know that I'm very proud of you all, grade 5!
