In honor of the Rotary Readers' visit, grades 3, 4, and 5 will be hearing books this week that have to do with the rewards and satisfaction that come from service to others.
In addition to providing an example of community service, the selection for 5th grade, Miss Lady Bird's Wildflowers: How a First Lady Changed America, is the first of the books we will read in recognition of Women's History Month, which is March.
Also added this week to the library's collection are new books acquired solely with points accrued through Scholastic book orders. Scholastic books will be delivered to students who placed orders on Monday.
The next meeting of the library's book club for students in grades 4 and 5 must be rescheduled. The new meeting date will be March 16. This is to avoid a conflict with the 5th-grade field trip.
