Dear Dragon students and families--Welcome, and welcome back! I am so pleased to be beginning a new school year with you.
This website will continue to be my main way of communicating with you throughout the year. If you wish to communicate back, please feel free to email me at bbroka@mbusd.org. You can always try dropping by the library; best to do so when I am not with a class, which you can figure out from the schedule. Least reliable for me is the telephone (310-798-6223 x5860), but if you would like to leave me a phone message, I will try my darnedest to return any messages within 24 hours.
Library hours this year are Monday through Friday, 8:15 to 3:00, with Wednesdays after 1:30 reserved for district meetings. Please have your children wait on the playground, not in the library, before school starts in the morning. The library is not available for afterschool homework this year as the later portion of the day works out so well for class visits.
Thank you for your support of the library! In particular, thanks to MBEF for helping to fund our district's library staff and to the Pennekamp PTA, which is the major source of funding for our new library books.
